ROMAN PIERCE is the youngest of six siblings in a traditional, working class, Italian-American family. As the youngest sibling, ROMAN was constantly subjected to ridicule and humiliation at the hands of his brothers and sisters throughout his entire childhood. In order to counter the daily barrage of psychological dodgeball, ROMAN established a quick-witted, sarcastic sense of humor.
Originally from upstate New York, ROMAN moved to New England in 1999 and began performing stand-up comedy in March 2005 at Nick's Comedy Stop in Boston, MA. From September 2006 to December 2008, ROMAN produced one of Boston's most popular comedy shows at The Vegas Lounge, where he hosted weekly showcases that featured some of the most talented stand-up comedians in New England.
ROMAN was the winner of the 2009 Rhode Island Comedy Festival, as well as the runner-up at the 2008 Catch A New Rising Star comedy competition at the Catch A Rising Star comedy club in the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI. ROMAN was also a finalist at the 2007 Aloha Comedy Festival and 2009 South Shore Comedy Riot.
ROMAN made his television debut in February 2008 on An Hour With Bob at the Fox Studios in Providence, RI. In July 2009, ROMAN debuted on The Steve Katsos Show, which airs weekly in over 13 million homes throughout the United States and Europe. In March 2010, ROMAN became the first repeat performer on The Steve Katsos Show and also performed on the First Anniversary Show.
On stage, ROMAN offers a cerebral view on odd news and events, relationships, parenthood, television, and growing up in a dysfunctional family. His unique analysis of everyday life experiences, mixed with clever observations and a meticulous dissection of the imperfections of mankind, is guaranteed to provide audiences with continuous, side-splitting laughter.
